Ray brings over 30 years of combined experience in Sales and Operations, with a proven track record of building strong relationships and driving cross-functional collaboration. His ability to identify opportunities and solve complex problems has been a cornerstone of his professional success.
Originally from Hawaii, Ray spent his formative years in San Jose, where he competed as a high school tennis player for four years. It wasn’t until college that he discovered his love for volleyball, earning the Setter position on the University of Arizona Men’s Club Team.
Now based in San Francisco for more than two decades, Ray lives with his wife and two daughters—both of whom began playing volleyball at age 9. As a former collegiate club player, youth coach, and seasoned club volleyball parent, Ray offers a well-rounded perspective to the Sláinte Advisory Board. His ongoing involvement with the volleyball community—through friendships with families across Sláinte and other clubs—has given him a front-row seat to the development of athletes both on and off the court. These experiences continue to shape his vision for fostering a supportive, connected, and successful club environment.
When he’s not watching or talking volleyball, Ray enjoys playing golf and participating in high-performance driving events at local racetracks—pursuits that reflect his love of precision, focus, and continuous improvement.
