'26 Summer beach Program

 

Sláinte offers training for all levels. Whether you’ve stepped in the sand to play before or are now developing your sand legs, we have the program for you. The season will include developing essential beach volleyball fundamentals, lessons on increasing volleyball IQ, and zoning in on good technique and skill work. The play environment will promote healthy competition, constant opportunities for improvement, lessons on communicating within and outside of the sport, and most importantly, competing at a high level and having fun at the same time.

Rising Youth Beach Camp

Rising Youth Beach Volleyball Week Camp

Date: June 15-19

Time: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

Place: Ocean Beach (Enter via the one closest to Balboa Street)

This week-long beach volleyball camp is designed for rising youth players up to grade 8 who want to learn the fundamentals of beach volleyball in a fun and supportive environment.

Players will develop movement skills in the sand, ball control, serving, passing, setting, and attacking through structured drills and game play. Each day includes skill development, small-sided games, and friendly competition to build confidence and teamwork.

With one coach per net and small training groups, players receive plenty of instruction and repetition throughout the week.

The camp concludes with a fun end-of-week tournament.

2 DAY YOUTH CAMP SERIES

Each camp in this series focuses on a different core beach volleyball skill set.

Day 1 builds fundamental skills, and Day 2 focuses on skill specialization and game play. 

Players may register for one camp or all three. 

Camp 1 — Attacking & Setting

Date:  July 11-12

Time: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm

Place: Ocean Beach (Enter via the one closest to Balboa Street)

This camp focuses on building offensive skills in beach volleyball. 

Day 1 develops core fundamentals including passing, movement in the sand, and ball control. Day 2 focuses on setting technique, attacking approach mechanics, and shot selection. 

Players will learn how to control the ball, create offensive opportunities, and play more confidently in 2-on-2 game situations. 

The camp finishes with competitive game play and skill challenges. 

Camp 2 — Serving & Serve Receive

Date:  August 1-2

Time: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm

Place: Ocean Beach (Enter via the one closest to Balboa Street)

This camp focuses on two of the most important skills in beach volleyball: serving and passing. 

Day 1 builds fundamental ball control and movement skills. Day 2 focuses on consistent serving technique, directional serving, serve-receive positioning, and passing to target. 

Players will learn how to start rallies with confidence and control the first contact of the game. 

The camp concludes with serve-receive competitions and game play. 

Camp 3 — Blocking & Defense

Date:  August 15-16

Time: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm

Place: Ocean Beach (Enter via the one closest to Balboa Street)

This camp focuses on defensive skills and teamwork at the net. 

Day 1 reinforces fundamental beach volleyball skills. Day 2 focuses on blocking footwork and timing, defensive positioning, reading attackers, and digging the ball to target. 

Players will learn how to work as a team defensively and extend rallies through improved court awareness. 

The camp concludes with defensive competitions and tournament play. 

End-of-Season Youth Club Tournament

Date:  August 22

Time: 8:00 am to 1:00 pm

Place: Ocean Beach (Enter via the one closest to Balboa Street)

All summer program participants are invited to compete in the Youth Beach Club Tournament. Players will be grouped by age and experience level for a fun day of competition and community at the beach.
